1 transported to hospital by air ambulance after Maple Ridge crash

Multiple people were sent to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Maple Ridge over the weekend.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP says it was called to the scene of the crash near 102 Avenue and 214A Street around 1:40 p.m. Sunday.

Images from the scene show a minivan that appears to have collided into the side of a sedan.

BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) says paramedics treated five patients.

“One was transported by ground and air ambulance to hospital in serious condition. Four other patients were transported to hospital in stable condition,” said Rachelle Bown of BC EHS.
