A Rogers outage left customers in parts of Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey without TV, internet and home phone service on Saturday night.
According to an update from the
at 11 a.m. Sunday, a fire causing technical issues has largely been fixed.
“We are working to restore services to a small percentage of impacted video customers,” said Rogers. “The vast majority of customers saw their internet and IPTV services restored overnight.”
To determine if an outage is affecting your services, check your account on the
or the MyRogers (Shaw) app and look for an alert banner.
Some customers, including those who had been trying to watch the Canucks vs. L.A. Kings game on Saturday night, took to X to complain:
@RogersHelps @Shawhelp TV and Internet is crap right now. Tried calling and was told to call another time as call volumes are high. Great service as always….sigh….just trying to watch the Canucks game….sponsored by @Rogers …lol….what a joke…awesome customer service
