The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says it is investigating after a fatal crash Saturday morning.

Police were called to the area of Huntingdon Road near Lefeuvre after a single-vehicle collision was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m.

“Emergency crews arrived to find a single vehicle that had rolled off the roadway into a water-filled ditch,” Sgt. Paul Walker said.

“The lone occupant was extricated from the vehicle by Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders at the scene, the driver succumbed to their injuries.”

Huntingdon is expected to remain closed in both directions between Lebeuvre and Bradner roads for several hours, police said early Saturday afternoon.
