A teenager from North Vancouver reported missing just last night has been found dead in a home near the PNE in Vancouver.

Vancouver police say they are investigating the death of the 16-year-old girl, who was discovered around 9 a.m. Tuesday in a residence near East Pender and Renfrew Street in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood.

VPD spokesman Sgt. Steve Addison said the girl was reported missing Monday night and that her disappearance was being investigated by North Vancouver RCMP.
Addison said the cause of her death is not yet known. The major crime section and evidence unit are investigating to determine whether her death was the result of a crime.
