A young woman has died following a New Year’s Day crash in Surrey.
On Tuesday, Surrey Police Services spokesperson Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said the 23-year-old had succumbed to injuries sustained during a three-vehicle collision near the intersection of 32 Avenue and 194 Street in south Surrey.
The accident involved a tractor trailer and two cars. Three people in the two cars were seriously injured, while the truck driver was not hurt.
“The cause of the collision remains under investigation, but it is believed that impairment was a contributing factor,” Houghton said, adding that no criminal charges had been laid.
