Vancouverites frustrated with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions gathered outside the American Consulate Sunday morning.
The ‘ICE Out for Good’ rally, organized by a group called Indivisible Vancouver, comes nearly a week after the death of a woman in Minneapolis after an ICE-involved shooting.
On its Facebook page, the group says it is “a Canadian-American group looking to preserve democracy, Canadian sovereignty, voting rights for overseas citizens, equal rights for all, solidarity, and good relationships with our cross-border neighbours.”
The rally invitation lists a start time of 11 a.m. Sunday.
Several other ICE Out for Good rallies were planned for Sunday at various cities in the U.S., including Washington, D.C., and Seattle.
