Spokesperson Brian Twaites says the BCEHS provided care to three patients who were then transported to hospital in “serious, but stable condition.”

Hours later, the New Westminster Police Department, confirmed it had closed the intersection in both directions as Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) investigators work. Police did not describe the damage to the home.

In a statement to CityNews, the NWPD says one of the drivers did not remain on the scene after the crash.

The department says it is now seeking witnesses to the incident.

Anyone with information or video of the incident is asked to contact the New Westminster Police Department at 604-525-5411 and reference file 26-1036.

Police say the intersection will likely stay closed for several hours.
