Shots fired at Surrey business considered ‘extortion-related’

Police are investigating after another Surrey business became the target of gunfire overnight.

The RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) says it responded to a report from the owner of a business on the Langley Bypass east of 192 Street around 8 a.m. Monday.

Officers confirmed damage from shots fired at the business, but no one was reported injured.

“At this early stage it is believed to be extortion-related,” said SPOSU.
