A warehouse fire is causing a huge plume of smoke in the area near the Sperling-Burnaby Lake Station SkyTrain station.
The Burnaby Fire Department says that 40 of its firefighters are on scene.

The fire is located on Winston Street near the Central Valley Greenway.
The Burnaby RCMP says it broke out at 3 p.m.
1130 NewsRadio has been receiving multiple calls from listeners about the huge plume of smoke in the area.
Metro Vancouver says it is monitoring the air quality in the area.
1130 NewsRadio has reached out to the Burnaby Fire Department and the Burnaby RCMP for more information.
Police confirmed that it is directing traffic in the area due to the fire and that road closures are in effect in the area.
