Are you missing a shipment of sinks?

The Langley RCMP says it has recovered a 53-foot trailer containing dozens of new kitchen sinks, still in their boxes.

Sgt. Zynal Sharoom says the abandoned trailer was recovered in an industrial area on Jan. 23.

He adds that the trailer was stolen, but the rightful owner of the cargo remains as unknown as who might have stolen it.

Sharoom says police have spoken with the registered owner of the trailer.

“When we got in touch with the owner, the owner inspected the trailer, and we found these boxes of sinks that were inside of it, and the registered owner says that it does not belong to them,” he added.

Investigators believe it may be a case of unreported stolen property.

“We are now trying to identify who may be the rightful owner of these sinks, as we feel that this is a large shipment that has not been delivered yet.”
