A pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries Monday after being hit by a vehicle in Coquitlam, police say.
Mounties were called to the area of David Avenue near Coast Meridian Road shortly before 8 a.m.
The driver stayed at the scene.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been called in to investigate.
The eastbound lanes of David Avenue and the southbound lanes of Coast Meridian were closed after the crash. As of 11 a.m., police did not have an estimated time of reopening.
Anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam video is asked to call the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and refer to file 2026-2713.
