They stopped the vehicle because the driver appeared to be slumped over in the driver’s seat.
When searching the vehicle, the officers located “numerous weapons, significant quantities of illicit drugs, and a body armour carrier.”
Police say they arrested the driver and a passenger for offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
The suspects were released, and the investigation is now ongoing.

“The production and trafficking of drugs is not a victimless crime,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak
“We see its devastating effects daily. The number of potential lives saved as a result of this seizure is immeasurable.”
He added that the two suspects are Kamloops residents and known to police.
