Port Moody police investigating after pedestrian injured in hit-and-run

The Port Moody Police Department (PMPD) says it is seeking witnesses after the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in an alleged hit-and-run.

The collision happened round 7:30 p.m. Monday, when the pedestrian was crossing in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Guildford Way and Ioco Road, police say.

The vehicle, described as a grey sedan, was seen travelling southbound on Ioco Road.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the PMPD.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to call police at 604-461-3456 and refer to file 2026-593.
