“Tips to Crime Stoppers that lead to an arrest and a conviction of the wanted criminal can lead to a reward of up to $5,000,” she explained.
She stresses that people calling Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and that police will not call back, ask the person to testify, or question them in any way.
“Somewhere, somehow, someone knows where these fugitives are, and we hope that they will call Crime Stoppers anonymously,” Annis added.
The five fugitives are wanted for various offences, including sexual assault and drug trafficking offences.
In the last year, Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers boasted receiving 5,490 tips, which contributed to the arrest of 15 individuals.
Additionally, 32 illegal weapons and more than $3 million in property and illicit drugs were seized.
The five suspects on this year’s “least wanted valentines” list and their mugshots can be viewed on the Crime Stoppers website.
