Canada suffered a heartbreaking loss of 2-1 in overtime, although Kristin O’Neill put the Great White North ahead at the start of the second period.
Fans cheered on Canada for making it all the way to the gold medal final.
“Not the outcome we wanted, but you know what? We were underdogs. Complete underdogs,” one fan said.
“Nothing disappointing about it other than the loss obviously, but everyone can hold their heads up being proud of that performance. That was really, really, really good,” said another fan.
The match was emotional as Canada’s captain Marie-Philip Poulin and Team USA captain Hilary Knight shared a hug after the game.

Team Canada held the lead until the last three minutes of the game, when Knight scored to tie the game.
“Silver is not so bad. It was great hockey. It was super fun to watch,” a fan told CityNews.
“Obviously not an ideal, but incredible games, so hard fought.”
Megan Keller scored the game-winning goal in overtime for the Americans.
Despite the loss, the fans in Vancouver are proud of the women’s team for their efforts against Team Canada’s biggest Olympic rivals.
“I am going to start crying, but it’s awesome. Silver doesn’t quite feel the same as gold in this rivalry, but yeah,” said one fan.
“Our girls played with so much grit and so much passion and so Canadian,” one fan said.
The watch party was hosted by the PWHL’s Vancouver Goldeneyes.
