Grenier was arrested Friday and remains in custody.
The investigation began in September 2022 after Mounties found a man and woman dead inside a torched vehicle near the Kickininee Provincial Park pullout.
Three people — Jilane King, Simon Bourbonnais and Tyler Stuart — were also charged in July 2025 in connection with these homicides.
King was charged with the first-degree murder of Barker and being an accessory after the fact to the killings of Barker and Brown. Bourbonnais was charged with being an accessory after the fact for the killings of Barker and Brown, along with the unlawful confinement of Brown and indignity to human remains of both victims. Additionally, he was charged with the manslaughter of Brown.
Stuart was charged with accessory after the fact to the murders of Barker and Brown, and indignity to human remains.
Another person was arrested in November.
“This was an extensive and complex investigation,” said B.C. RCMP Superintendent Sanjaya Wijayakoon on Saturday.
“We have now charged and made our final anticipated arrest for this investigation. Our thoughts remain with the families of Mr. Barker and Ms. Brown, and we hope that today’s charges provide some measure of progress as the matter proceeds before the courts.”
