Police investigate early morning extortion shooting at Delta business

A Delta business was sprayed with gunfire early Friday morning in what is believed to be a targeted shooting.

Delta police were alerted to shots fired at about 3:30 a.m. in the 7500-block of Vantage Place. Officers located bullet casings and damage to the business.

The building was not occupied at the time of the shooting and there are no reports of any injuries.
Police say security video show occupants of a white sedan firing multiple shots into the business before fleeing the area.
Delta’s extortion task force has taken over the investigation.
