Mounties are investigating after an alleged accidental shooting at a Burnaby home Wednesday night.
The Burnaby RCMP says officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound at an apartment building near Lougheed Highway and Douglas Road around 10:15 p.m.

“When police arrived on scene, they located a 39-year-old man with injuries consistent with a gunshot,” said a statement Thursday morning.
Police say paramedics took the man to hospital in stable condition. BC Emergency Health Services later described the patient’s condition as “serious” but stable.
Mounties did not clarify if the wound was believed to be self-inflicted.
Investigators remained on scene as of 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
