Surrey police investigating knife incident

Multiple officers are investigating an incident that the Surrey Police Service (SPS) calls a “person possibly armed with a knife.”

Shortly before 3:15 p.m. on Monday, callers to 1130 NewsRadio reported seeing several police cruisers near King George Boulevard and 105 Avenue in Surrey.

“Numerous suspects were investigated and released without charge,” Sgt. Tige Pollock said.

He adds that there is no ongoing risk to the public.

As of 3:30 p.m., drivers can expect delays in both directions in the area.
