Both the New Westminster Police Department (NWPD) and New Westminster Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene where they found the vehicles involved in the crash had sustained significant damage.
The NWPD alleges that one of the vehicles was travelling at such a high rate of speed that it flipped into some nearby hedges, landing on its roof.
Some occupants of the flipped vehicle attended local hospital on their own accord. The lone occupant of the second vehicle did not appear to have significant injuries.
“With the amount of damage these vehicles sustained, it’s a miracle no one was seriously hurt,” said Sgt Jacquelyn Mula. “Based off the circumstances surrounding this collision, criminal charges are being considered.”

NWPD are seeking dash cam footage from anyone who may have been in the area around 11 p.m.
