Mexico-bound flight delayed at Vancouver airport due to unruly passengers

The RCMP was called to Vancouver International Airport Saturday morning after a flight bound for Mexico was delayed due to unruly passengers causing a disturbance.

The Vancouver Airport Authority tells 1130 NewsRadio police were called about the issue aboard a WestJet flight around 7:30 a.m.

“RCMP responded to reports of a group of passengers behaving in an unruly manner onboard flight WS2662 bound for Cabo San Lucas,” said senior communications specialist Aline Dumalski.

“They responded on scene to remove the group.”

According to YVR’s website, the plane was rescheduled to take off around 9:30 a.m.
