The fatality appears to have been an accident, according to the Metro Vancouver Transit Police.

Transit police media relations officer Const. Amanda Steed said after being notified shortly after 8 p.m. officers located an individual in medical distress.
“Despite lifesaving measures by first responders, the individual was pronounced deceased on scene. The station was closed to the public while officers investigated and awaited the arrival of the coroner,” said Steed.
“The death does not appear suspicious and criminality is not suspected. At this point in the investigation, we also do not believe it was a suicide attempt, but accidental.”
Regular SkyTrain service has since resumed.
