Mounties in White Rock are asking for the public’s help after a former teacher at a local dance studio was charged and, this month, arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
In February, the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) charged 45-year-old Nigel Brock Jellison, known as Brock Jellison, with five counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual exploitation related to offences involving four victims between 2006 and 2011. A publication ban is in place to protect victims’ identities.

The BCPS also issued a Canada-wide warrant for Jellison’s arrest.
On April 15, Mounties arrested him in Magrath, Alta. Police say he was processed and released on conditions pending his next court appearance.
Now, the White Rock RCMP is asking anyone with information related to the alleged offences to come forward.
“We believe there may be people within our community who were taught by Brock Jellison or attended the local dance studio who have information and have not yet spoken with police,” said Detachment Commander Staff Sgt. Rob Dixon.
Investigators believe Jellison was associated with multiple dance studios, but “due to the historical nature of the allegations, and to avoid any unintended impact on current studio operations, police will not be identifying the business.”
More recently, Mounties say, Jellison was teaching in Alberta.
“We are asking anyone with information to contact the White Rock RCMP at 778-545-4800.”
