“Out of an abundance of caution, the aircraft returned to YVR where guests and their baggage were offloaded,” said Julia Kaiser, advisor at WestJet.
The plane has now been towed to a gate.
The South Runway remains closed as crews work to move the aircraft safely. Flights continue to arrive and depart on the North Runway.
