A woman was taken into custody by the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) on Sunday after she allegedly made threats with a knife to another person.

Police say that the incident happened around 8 p.m. at a home on Comox Street near Chilco Street in Vancouver’s West End.

Cst. Darren Wong tells 1130 NewsRadio that the victim and suspect both live in the same building, know each other, and are known to the VPD.

“No one was injured in the altercation,” he said in a written statement.

Officers are still trying to figure out what happened in the lead-up to the incident.

The VPD has forwarded charges to prosecutors for approval.
