The Freedom Mobile Arch Opening Night is a variety show with include an Indigenous cultural welcome, music, dance, comedy, and storytelling.
The new amphitheatre features seating for 10,000 people and has the longest timber clear-span roof in the world.
It also has views of the North Shore mountains.
The venue will host the 2026 FIFA Fan Festival this summer, a free family-friendly event that will show the games live on screens.
The Summer Nights Concert series will also be held at the arch.
Vancouver City Council approved for this project to move ahead in 2019.
Constructing the arch carried complications.
Around 60-times the normal amount of water was found during geological testing.
This led to cost escalations along the way but Shelley Frost, President and CEO of the Pacific National Exhibition, told reporters that they have been transparent with council during construction.
“We have worked with the city council and they have continued to share our vision for what this venue is and what it can be for the entire region and they have been supportive of that,” said Frost.
The total cost to construction of the amphitheatre was $183 million.
“We expect a full roster of great shows of every size and every genre to come through”
Tickets for events at the arch are available through ticketleader.ca.
