Multiple emergency vehicles, smoke reported near 232 Street in Langley Township

A fire broke out this morning around 10 a.m. at a barn located at 3777 232 Street in Langley.

232 Street closed between 40 and 42 avenues.



Photos shared on social media show smoke in the area.



“The Township along with the fire department responded to a large barn fire at 232nd Avenue and 40th Street. Initial reports were smoke and flames through the roof,” said Scott Brewer, Assistant chief of operations with Langley Fire Department.

“A tanker shuttle was initiated to support with water resources.”

“We currently have 10 apparatus on scene, and the situation is under control at this time.”

There are no reported injuries, and the barn appears to have been empty.
