The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says three people have been arrested after shots were fired in a parking lot early Wednesday.

Officers were called to an outdoor lot on Clearbrook Road, near Peardonville Road, just after 6 a.m., AbbyPD says.

When they arrived, they found that the suspects and a victim had left the area, police say.

After investigating, police say they tracked down three suspects involved in the shooting at a home on Westerly Street near Peardonville Road, less than a kilometre from the parking lot.

They also found the victim, who was uninjured.

AbbyPD says Ryan Sawatsky, 33, Lukas Bezanson, 28, and Kyle Kornyk, 34, have each been charged with one count of discharging a firearm while being reckless about the life or safety of another person.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area between 5:45 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday is asked to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
