Premier David Eby has called a byelection in the Abbotsford-Mission electoral district following the resignation of former MLA Reann Gasper.

The seat became vacant on Aug. 22 when Gasper stepped down from her position in the B.C. legislature in order to let Conservative leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay run.

Residents of Abbotsford-Mission will head to the polls on Saturday, Sept. 26, which has been set as the final voting day for the byelection.
