A Metro Vancouver watermain break flooded part of a major North Vancouver intersection Friday afternoon.
The break occurred at the intersection of Marine Drive and Capilano Road, according to the District of North Vancouver.
A district spokesperson said crews are working alongside Metro Vancouver to repair the damaged regional water infrastructure.
Despite the flooding, the intersection remains open to traffic. However, one lane has been closed while repairs are underway, and traffic control personnel are on site to help manage vehicle flow through the area.
Drivers should expect delays and are being encouraged to avoid the area if possible while crews complete repairs.
No information has been released about the cause of the watermain break or when repairs are expected to be finished.
