One person has died and three others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Chilliwack early Monday, police say.

The Chilliwack RCMP says officers were called to the intersection of Boundary Road and Number 4 Road shortly after midnight.

When they arrived, they found a “vehicle that had left the roadway.” A drone image taken at the scene shows a badly damaged vehicle on its roof several feet away from the roadway.

BC Emergency Health Services confirms one person was pronounced dead at the scene and three people were taken to hospital in serious condition.

The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) is assisting with the investigation into the cause of the crash, Mounties say.
