The Delta Police Department has released the identity of a woman who was found deceased in a field off River Road on Aug. 26.

Police identified the woman as 34-year-old Natasha Clifton of Richmond.

Investigators say the circumstances surrounding her death remain the subject of an active criminal investigation.

Delta police are hoping that by releasing Clifton’s name, investigators will be able to better trace her movements and activities in the days leading up to her death.

Officers are asking anyone who had contact or communication with Clifton, or who may have information about her activities or associates, to come forward.
