The Hope RCMP are investigating a collision between a pedestrian and a pickup truck along Highway 3 near Highway 5 that resulted in the pedestrians death.
Around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night, RCMP received calls regarding a pedestrian walking in the slow lane along the highway.
Soon after, RCMP were called to the collision.
The pedestrian was located and pronounced dead on the scene.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was brought in to process the scene, which closed Highway 3 eastbound for several hours.
The driver of the pickup stayed on scene and is working with investigators.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
