Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) say they stopped 12 impaired drivers in 12 hours overnight.

“While we’re grateful these drivers were stopped before someone was seriously injured or killed, these numbers are concerning,” read the social media post on Saturday.

AbbyPD’s post reminded people to make alternate arrangements if they choose to drink while out. 

“There is no excuse for driving impaired. Plan ahead. Arrange a designated driver, call a taxi, use a rideshare service, or stay where you are.”

According to the post, AbbyPD has taken 800 impaired drivers off the road so far this year.
