RCMP seizes drugs and cash after lengthy investigation in B.C. village

At the beginning of October, Masset RCMP seized a large amount of drugs and cash after multiple search warrants were served throughout the village.

Masset RCMP say the investigation started in May and lead to information that drug trafficking was being run out of two homes, one in the 1500-block of Burgess Avenue in Masset and one in the 100-block of Raven Avenue in Old Masset.

In a joint operation between Masset RCMP and North District Emergency Response Team, warrants were served on the residences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Police seized drug trafficking paraphernalia from one home and from another one about $11,000 in cash and more than 200 grams of cocaine.

A vehicle thought to be part of the drug trafficking operation was also seized.

One man was arrested. He has been released pending the results of the drug testing and charge approval by the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
