Surrey police investigating after shots fired at a home, vehicle fires discovered

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating after shots were fired at a home and two vehicle fires were discovered Sunday morning.

Officers were called to a home on 125th Street near 102nd Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m. to assist the Surrey Fire Service with a vehicle fire.

A few minutes later, the Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit was called to 140A Street near 110th Avenue after reports of possible shots fired outside a home.

Then, around half an hour later, police responded to a report of another vehicle fire, this one on Regal Drive near Regent Place.

Police say all three incidents appear to be connected, and there is no evidence to indicate they are related to extortion.

“The motive for the shots fired and two vehicle fires remain under investigation, and investigators will be liaising with police partners to determine if there are any connections to other files,” the SPS said.

No injuries have been reported.

Anyone with information or video footage is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and refer to file 25-108536 (SP), 25-108544, or 25-66420 (SU).
