White Rock RCMP say shortly before 1 p.m., officers responded to a report of an injured person on the road in the 15600-block of Cliff Avenue.
A bystander was administering CPR when they arrived. Despite life-saving efforts, the person died. Police determined the person had been struck by a car.
White Rock RCMP investigators are trying to identify the driver involved. Investigators have identified a suspect vehicle, which has since been located and seized by police.
Anyone who was in the area and has dashcam footage or who witnessed anything is asked to contact White Rock RCMP at 778-545-4800.
