Surrey police investigate possible extortion link after shots fired at Bear Creek residence
At about 2:20 a.m. on Jan. 17, shots were reported fired outside a residence in the 8600 block Galway Crescent. The residence was occupied and no one was injured, police said.

Surrey Police Service is investigating an incident of shots fired at a residence in Surrey’s Bear Creek neighbourhood that is believed to be extortion related.

SPS’s major crime section has taken over the investigation, which is in its early stages.
Police ask that anyone with information about this incident, including CCTV or dashcam footage to contact SPS’ non-emergency line at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or solvecrime.ca and quote file number 26-5510 (SP).
