Police say they are investigating after an alleged hit-and-run in Abbotsford Wednesday that resulted in two pedestrians being taken to hospital.
Members of the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) were called to the intersection of Ross and Simpson roads just after 7 p.m.
“Emergency crews arrived to find two pedestrians injured after being struck by a red or maroon colored Mazda sedan,” the AbbyPD said.
“The suspect vehicle fled the scene westbound on Simpson Road.”
Both pedestrians were taken to hospital, and one had serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
Investigators say they are looking for witnesses, particularly the driver of a white Tesla reported to have been in the area at the time of the crash.
“It is believed that this driver may have witnessed the incident, or that their vehicle may have captured video footage that is crucial to the investigation,” police said.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to call the AbbyPD at 604-859-5225.
