No injuries have been reported after a fire enveloped a barn in Aldergrove Saturday, fire crews tell 1130 NewsRadio.
Township of Langley Fire Chief Cory Parker says crews were called to the area of 256th Avenue near 28th Street shortly after 5 a.m.

The blaze was particularly difficult to fight, Parker says, in part because the structure had collapsed in on itself, making it difficult to get underneath the flames to fight them.
Other challenging factors were the size and location of the barn, he says.
“[The structure] was probably 150 feet long by 75 feet wide and in an area that has no hydrants, which makes it a challenge to put water on the fire,” Parker said.
“So we have to bring in our water shuttle trucks or tanker trucks where they go back to an area that has hydrants, fill up, and then rotate.”
The building did not contain any livestock.
“They do have an agriculture business, but this is more of a machine shop,” he said.
As of 10 a.m., crews were still on scene putting out hot spots.
The cause will be investigated, Parker said.
