The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia’s (CFSEU-BC) Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) is sharing a recent drug seizure that came from a traffic stop in Surrey.
On March 24, officers pulled over a car with two occupants.
Upon investigation, UGET officers discovered 3.5 kg of drugs which were packaged in bulk and vacuum-sealed bags.

After processing the seizure, the breakdown of drugs worked out to a total of 1.293 kg fentanyl, in variations of purple, yellow, and red; 1.149 kg of methamphetamine; 1.064 kg of cocaine.
Both occupants of the car were arrested.
One was found to be in violation of his study permit conditions and was transferred to a Canada Border Agency immigration centre. He remains in custody.
The other occupant got violation tickets for speeding and received a seven-month driving prohibition.

“This seizure represents a significant financial blow to organized crime,” said Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, CFSEU-BC. “By intercepting bulk quantities of drugs at the distribution level, UGET officers are directly disrupting supply chains and cutting into the profits that fuel gang activity in our communities.”
The investigation is ongoing and charges are expected to be recommended.
