The Maple Ridge RCMP says it has made an arrest in connection with an attempted robbery involving bear spray at a local mall on April 7.
Mounties say they responded to reports of a robbery in progress at ValleyFair Mall, located on Lougheed Highway near 227th Street, around 5 p.m. on April 7.
When they arrived, officers learned that two masked men had entered the mall, were interrupted by security, and then sprayed bear spray before leaving.
Police say the suspect was arrested April 16 after a search warrant was executed in Mission.


The RCMP says investigators are working to identify the second suspect.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
