RCMP say shortly after 10 p.m., a man was reported as being forced into a pickup truck by two other men in the parking lot of the Bamboo Grove Restaurant, located at 6920 No. 3 Road.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage, which they say suggests the vehicle involved may have been a dark coloured Ford F-150.
Richmond RCMP provided no other details, including a possible motive or the identity of the man who may have been kidnapped.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or who may have dash cam or security video from the area around that time, to contact Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212.
