A plane that made an emergency landing on a Prince George roadway Thursday afternoon resulted in a fatal collision involving two vehicles, according to RCMP.
Prince George RCMP said the aircraft came down on Foothills Boulevard, approximately 1.5 kilometres north of North Nechako Road, at around 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 20.
Police reported that two vehicles were involved during the emergency landing. One person in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.



The extent of injuries suffered by occupants of the second vehicle and those aboard the aircraft has not yet been determined.
BC Emergency Health Services attended the scene and say they treated 10 people, with two being transported to hospital.
Foothills Boulevard has been closed to traffic in both directions and is expected to remain closed overnight and into Friday as investigators examine the scene.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has assumed responsibility for the investigation into the incident.
RCMP have not yet released additional details about the aircraft involved or the identity of the deceased.
