The Central Saanich Fire Department (CSFD) says in a written statement that the “fire was heavily involved in the basement, main floor and attic.”

“Unfortunately, the building sustained significant damage.”

Fire Chief Stacey Lee told CityNews that the restaurant was fully destroyed.

The incident is currently under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.

“Crews did a defensive operation and protected the surrounding townhouses,” Lee said.

The CSFD says that the burned building housed the Garden Fork Restaurant.
