A Canadian commercial truck driver has been charged with several drug-related charges after the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) discovered a cache of suspected drugs in his truck and trailer at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon Port of Entry in B.C.
CBSA say officers found 52 brick-shaped packages in his truck and trailer in two duffle bags.

Following the seizure, investigators with the RCMP Federal Policing Pacific Region (FPPR) determined the substances were cocaine and heroin.
“This investigation and its result demonstrate the positive impact of our coordinated efforts with the CBSA to stop the flow of drugs into Canada through our land borders,” said Staff Sgt. Eric Kimura of the RCMP FPPR Drugs and Organized Crime Unit.
RCMP say that Khushwinder Singh Gill, 47, was arrested on Oct. 22. He has been charged with importation of cocaine, importation of heroin, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking.
