Coquitlam RCMP say charges have been approved against an Anmore man following an investigation that began in 2025.
Police announced Friday that the BC Prosecution Service approved one count of fraud over $5,000, one count of theft under $5,000, and one count of theft over $5,000 against Ryan Kohler on Aug. 10.
According to RCMP, Kohler was formerly involved with a parent advisory council at a school in Anmore. The alleged offences are said to have occurred between October 2024 and May 2025.
“The culmination of the detailed Coquitlam RCMP investigation into alleged criminal actions resulted in these charges being laid,” said Cpl. John Graham in a statement.
“We understand allegations of this nature are concerning, but we have confidence in the judicial process that is now underway.”
Police say Kohler has been released on conditions while the matter proceeds through the courts.
