The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is investigating a death at CRAB Park early Wednesday morning that has been confirmed as the city’s sixth homicide of the year.

Police were called to the park, located at 101 E. Waterfront Road, shortly before 7 a.m. after reports of a man in medical distress.

First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene.

The victim’s identity has not yet been confirmed, and investigators say there are currently no suspects.

VPD homicide investigators are now seeking witnesses who may have been in or around CRAB Park between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.
