A break and enter and theft at a local business last week in Castlegar is being investigated by the RCMP.
On Oct. 7, just after midnight, the theft was on Columbia Avenue, near 15th Street, and multiple sets of tires and rims were stolen. The value of the stolen goods is more than $10,000, say police.
Included in the theft were satin black 18-inch Toyota alloy rims, Michelin X-Ice Snow tires (235/60R18), and Toyo Observe GSi6 LS tires (235/60R18).
Police say there were two vehicles seen on CCTV that they believe may be involved with the theft.

One is an older-model RV, light in colour with blue pinstriping. The RV was carrying bicycles on the rear door. There was also a red bag or other item on the roof.
The second vehicle is described as a small, light-coloured SUV.
RCMP are asking the public for help identifying the suspect vehicles.
“We are asking anyone who may have seen these vehicles in the area during the early morning hours of October 7, or who may have dash camera footage, to contact police,” said Cpl. Brett Urano, Media Relations Officer for the Castlegar RCMP.
“Even information that may seem minor could be valuable to investigators.”
