The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) charged two men with robbery after a victim was assaulted with a mallet on Tuesday morning.
Around 1:42 a.m., VPD were called to the scene of an alleged assault with a hammer near West Cordova Street and Richards Street.
A 35-year-old man was found with bruising to his head, both hands injured and a bloody nose.
VPD officers worked with a security guard who showed them CCTV footage of the two suspected males. Police were able to quickly locate the two men and arrest them.
While searching the men, VPD found a rubber mallet and the victims car key fob.
Both men were taken to jail and remained in custody pending a bail hearing.
